Post Wk5 Award Race Watchlist
Welcome to the post Week 5 Awards preview. With two weeks to go, every player in the league has one thing on their mind: stats. How can I get the best stats possible or create a narrative that my stats make me the best even if I have to warp reality to make a perception in my mind that nobody believes. As always, we’d like to thank our league sponsor Hims. Lots of players have trouble performing their best in the spotlight others suffer technical difficulties. Either way, Hims can help. Power up like these studs below by looking into Hims.

MVP Watchlist
After a tough week 1 matchup and display offensively, Irvine has responded with some of the best efficiency we’ve seen in the league. Coupled with great defensive play I think we can expect Irv to be top two at least if he’s able to win these last two without Turkey. Phin has probably been our best defensive player and is neck and neck with Irv for best QB this season. Meanwhile we’ve seen Duxor be the steady force for TTT and he is currently top 5 offensively and defensively stat wise.
Honorable mentions: TeeOh, WCK.

OPOTY Watchlist
Wayne’s receiving numbers are slightly lower than CJ (though on better efficiency), but the rushing stats help give him the boost here. The thing to watch here is how much potentially missing Week 6’s game against Phoenix D will hurt Wayne’s candidacy. Meanwhile WCK and CJ each have over 100 targets and 1000 yards on the season. Each receiver has been expected to carry the burden offensively. We could end up seeing WCK take this if he keeps up his production from the last two games (290 yards vs Phins world and 249 yards vs TTT).
Honorable Mentions: Duxor (after Dux, there’s a cluster of players in a similar range).

DPOTY Watchlist
This is a two man race in my book. Phin sits at #1 in swats and #2 in interceptions while Lemnos sits at #4 in swats and #3 in interceptions. Lemnos had to blitz one game so he has an additional two sacks more than Phin. Here’s where the race gets interesting. Both teams might be playing without one of their best players soon. I want to see if Lem or Phin can make a statement and come up with some big plays shorthanded. Turkey-Fry is third on this list, but his candidacy is done for all intents and purposes due to vacation. With TeeOh and Wayne missing time, look for Irvine to be the darkhorse if he can have some big games statistically.
Honorable mentions: Prism, TeeOh, Wayne.

GMOTY Watchlist
Probably another two man race. Young has completely revamped his roster and will again have different lineups coming after he goes to sip pina coladas on the beach while watching some NFL Blitz pubs between Cutler and Bluesquid QB. Tony on the other hand has been able to insert MA in the lineup and play both divisional opponents close as of late. He also hasn’t sat steal and made a trade for the leagues stray cat, J Cutty. Will Cutty be “The Answer” for Huevos? Dux drafted the same team but deserves credit for giving Cutty a start, managing autism, and working Sin into the lineup.
Honorable mentions: None (respectfully), unless Monopoly Men can win out.

ROTY Watchlist
This is the award where we have the clearest #1 in as of week 5 IMO. MA is top 5 in our receiver leaderboard and #8 defensively. Intoxx is #8 offensively and #12 defensively. We’ve seen both Intoxx and Squid used as big play threats, but MA has also found his success on a team thrown into chaos lineup wise while Intoxx and Squid play with two of the best at positions they’re more comfortable with, comparatively.

Commentator of the Year
Last seasons fan favorite Popgun has returned to the booth of late and maintains his position as the best play-by-play guy in the booth. Lemnos has been putting in volume this season and blends well with whoever joins the booth. Young on the other hand has low volume, but delivered what one anonymous source described as “simply elite” performance while casting the MM vs TTT game Sunday night.
Honorable Mentions: CJ, TeeOh, Ocho.

Yapper of the Year
Last season Eehan was the undisputed yapper of the year on twitch.tv, however this season the competition is fierce. MyDiKisBGi has become a fan favorite delivering analytical points while also keeping the chat room jolly and poppin. Eehan has been a bit inconsistent this season and looks to have lost a step. Kite188 at third has been putting in some great volume and always looks to make his presence known in the chatroom.
Honorable mentions: Sin, Mouton.
